Judy Bullard creates traditional crafts, primarily handmade hoop drums, rattles, and baskets. For her drums she uses elk or deer hide laced around a wooden hoop. She makes rattles from elk hide, driftwood and leather. Judy weaves baskets from all natural materials and uses walnut stain as accent. Her work is inspired by nature.
In all of her work, Judy’s goal is to make a difference in the world by respecting the earth and its bounty. She uses her hands and her intuition to make her traditional crafts. The drum represents the heartbeat of Mother Earth and connects our heartbeats as we play it. This synchronicity can help to heal us all, since we are One.
Judy offers individualized workshops in making hoop drums, which she has offered for over 12 years.
